BHP Billiton is the world’s largest diversified resources company with approximately 39,000 employees working in over 100 operations in 25 countries. BHP Billiton New Mexico Coal operates two coal operations in the Four Corners Region of New Mexico. The Navajo Mine is a large surface coal mine and is located solely on the Navajo Indian reservation
and supplies coal to the Arizona Public Service’s Four Corners Power Plant. The San Juan Mine is an underground coal mine that provides coal to Public Service of New Mexico’s San Juan Generating Station. We employ over 1,050 people and are working to effectively recruit local candidates for a number of vacancies within our operations.
